The Energy of Spirituality

The word "spirituality" evokes a vibrational energy that, in modern times, we mostly accept and would like to know more about.

To some, spirituality has a wholly different connotation and is more closely connected to the religious aspect of the spiritual God or whoever one prays to, as there are as many forms of religion as there are forms of spirituality.

After many spiritual people were executed for being Witches, Healers or Psychics or Fortune Tellers, they were often knowledgeable people in the use of herbs and healing, the local midwife and apothecary. People feared persecution and did not speak of it at all. Or all kept in secret, even by some very important people of the time.

When I first sat in a circle in my teens, it was called afternoon tea or meeting up with friends behind heavy curtains, and it wasn't discussed afterwards. Although many Spiritual Churches were emerging all over the country, they were still largely kept quiet and not advertised in local papers, but rather by word of mouth.

Now it has grown so vastly with TV programmes, Festivals, Seminars, Magazines, Shops, and Mind, Body & Spirit events virtually every weekend somewhere, and is advertised fully. Most spiritual churches host weddings, christenings or naming ceremonies, funerals, and regular teachings and demonstrations.
